What "heavier weight" oil are you running? How many miles do you have on this oil? More frequent oil and filter changes will do more for your engine than "higher quality" or "heavier" oil. If you're running 5W-50 oil the base oil is 5 weight with added polymers that increase the viscosity when it's hot.
